How much blood does a woman lose when she is on her interval?

My roommate and I were discussion one day, and we be wondering: how much blood does a woman lose while she is on her period? Does it rise and fall with age and freight? Hi,
I am a doctor..
Well, diferent people can lose different amounts of blood ..
From the start, some girls tend to lose more blood than others..
this may be genetically determined..
customarily it should be around 30 ml..
but the upper limit to be precise thought to be abnormal is 80 ml..
if you hold a blood flow of more than around 80 ml, then its certain as menorrhagia..
this can be due to various reason..
you specially have to beware when you suddenly start to lose more blood than ordinary..
this could be a sign of some underlying disease..
the bottomline is that the amount of blood is more or less individualised..but you should not lose more than 80 ml
the normaly duration of the length should be maximally 5 days..
again a longer duration than this can be a sign of some disease..
