How soon do your boobs take tender?

I've had swollen and tender breasts [grown a full cup size overnight] for seven days. I'm expecting my subsequent period on the 21st and have my last on Dec 24th. Could I be pregnant or would it be too soon to detail. My boobs get tender and hurts basically before my length. It could also be a sign you're pregnant.
