How soon after can i hold sex near Mirena (IUD)?

Im going in this week to own Mirena (IUD) inserted. I didn't ask My OB this Q, for got...=0 & is it affective right a agency? "Mirena is effective rapidly if inserted within seven days after the start of your spell. If you have Mirena inserted at any other time during your menstrual cycle, use another method of birth control if you hold vaginal intercourse during the first week after insertion. Protection will begin after seven days."

It's if truth be told the most effective reversible form of birth control, but some women can't tolerate it. Mirena can end in weight gain, moodiness, and loss of interest within sex. On the flip side, it can make your length go away. Good luck!
I presume you are supposed to use a back up method for 2 weeks. Wouldn't hurt to think twice anyway. FYI you might want to research online because there is alot of unwanted pregnancies associated near use of Mirena.
